PLEASE NOTE: Every project is different in scope so having a set price will not suffice for all the projects that The Visual Element can complete. Only after having a discussion about your budget and the requirements of your project can a set price be established. However, to give you a better idea of what you might expect, an average price range is given for each service.
Design from Scratch

The price for the entire project depends mostly on your budget, no matter if its $100 or $1000. Other factors include the number of pages that your site will include, as well as how busy or complicated the content will be. Please keep in mind that web hosting and domain name registration are not included in the design price.
Site Maintenance
Site maintenance for Web sites that the The Visual Element has designed for you is charged on an hourly basis with a one-hour minimum. For example, making changes to text and changing an image on every page of your site may cost between $50 - $75 for the entire project. Any change to the graphics themselves will be considered a Graphics project.
Since sites created by other designers may contain a code structure that is unfamiliar, it may take extra time to assess the code structure before making any changes. This will be discussed with you prior to beginning any work.
Search Engine Optimization
First, your site is analyzed for search engine ranking and then a strategy will be made to improve those rankings. Depending on how your site ranks, the strategy may include optimizing text to include more keywords, adding search-engine friendly descriptions to your site's code, and submitting your site to the popular search engines. This service is charged by the hour and may start at $100 - $150. This service may take longer for those sites created by other designers.
Internet Marketing
Internet marketing is a service that is charged by task. With this service, the marketing strategy is first discussed with the client, and the charge depends heavily on the types of marketing tasks that are planned. For example, if a client would like to have an ad campaign which includes a banner ad and designing an email to be sent to a mailing list, then the charge may fall within the $100 - $150 range.
Photography & Web Graphics
Photography and Web Graphics is another service charged by the hour. An example price for an on-location photo shoot, editing, and Web page insertion can be between $150 - $200. This price depends mostly on number of photos taken or graphics made. Cost for images made from scratch depend on size and complexity.
Printed Materials
The cost for printed materials is based on task. Designing printed materials includes planning and the iterative process of design, client feedback, and approval. An example cost for a business card and business stationery design can be $100 - $150.
